Hi again! I forgot to include my most memorable moment in school. This isn't a "happy" memory but when people talk about their school years I always think of this. I think I was in 4th grade. I made it to the county spelling bee level. We had to get up on stage infront of ALOT of people and when it was my turn I completely froze up. I couldn't remember how to spell circus. I just stood there and couldn't speak. So I was eliminated in the first round. At the time it was awful but my mother and I think back on it now and just laugh until we cry.

OOOPS Me again -forgot to leave my school memory, well it involves a school trip to Paris, we went as a class of girls for 10 days to learn French & admin as well as visiting all the fab sights. I was 14yrs old & quite quiet, well we slept 5 in a dorm style room & on the last night I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the loo only to find my bed had been wheeled out into the corridor beside the teachers room & I had white toothpaste smeared all over my long black hair!!! LOL!!! I managed to get the bed back before the teacher found me, but had white hair for days after on the trip home!!!!LOL!!

Another one back again who forgot to add their school moment. Mine was in about 2nd year at high school. Gymnastics was always my favourite & I was pretty good at it so never really worked hard while in class. This day my mind was obviously too far away & up the mat I ran, bounced on the spring board as always but instead of doing a head spring off of the buck, I overshot & my head went right down the other side of the buck (doing a head spring on the floor) & I slide under the spring board at the other side. Yes I managed to knock myself unconscious coming around to hear my friends screaming that I was dead, causing another of them to fall off the trampoline & had ripped the front of my leg open on the spring board. The school couldn't get a hold of my mum so I had to walk around school with an ice pack taped to my leg & one to my head. (I was not very pretty and was extrememly swollen for several days after). Now I know what happened to my brains!!!!!

My memorable school moment would probably be in 2nd grade where we had to do a play about the 7 Children and the Giant. I wanted to play one of the children but backed out because I was too shy - so I became one of the flowers in the garden. The end :P

Congrats on reaching 2000 hits on your blog.
ONE of my memories from school was when I was in Grade Prep, I went up to my teacher crying my heart out. I explained to her that I had forgotten to comb my hair..........LOL. She was trying to keep a straight face and told me that she never would have guessed......very true too, I had very straight, shiny black hair and no-one would have guessed...........LOL. I walked off and tried to recover....LOL.

My most memorable day in school was during my GCSE's. Me and one of my friends went to the park and she went paddling in the river. She was determined not to get her clothes wet but of course, as she was getting out of the water, she fell in backwards. She was floating there for ages just laughing and to be honest, I couldn't stop laughing either!
I love the candy by the way.
I will post the link to your blog now.

My most memorable moment at school was a very long time ago!
I was tiny and it was my first school trip, I can't even remember where it was. We went into a greenhouse and the smell of geraniums was amazing! I was so small I could hardly see them on the tables but I'll never forget the scent.
Thanks for the chance of winning great candy - I've left a post on my blog to spread the word.

Can I take part in your competition? I don't have a blog but I can tell some of my friends about your fab competition.

I have a lot of good and bad memories from my school years. One that always makes me laugh is when we went ice skating during gym. I think I was about 15 when this happened. And I can tell you, most of us weren't exactly NHL-material, least of all me. My way of stopping was by going straight into a big pile of snow (we were skating outside). That tells you something...
The only thing was that the boys we had crushes on at that time
were from another school and their school was right by the ice rink. So the next time we saw the boys they couldn't keep a straight face after simply saying "So you went ice skating during gym?". They had watched our disasterous hockeygame from their schoolwindow. My friends and I always laugh about this. And my skating hasn't gotten any better... :)

Love,
Anne

My most memorable day at school is, when we had to help a whole day a farmer on his field. Unfortunatly, on the way to him, I felt from my bike and broke my right arm and got a concussion. Afterwards, I could not even remember what I had for breakfast but the support of my school mates was fantastic. They organised everything for me during my accident. A driver who brought me to the hospital, they called my parents, they organised me something to drink, they brought my bike home etc. When we get together now, we always talk about it how grown-up they acted ;).

Hello!@
Nice blog candy :)
One of my great memories from school was one of my elementrary school teachers. She was certainly ahead of her time and we so looked up to her. I remember how she would take out her guitar and have us sing along, I so looked forward to it.

Congrats on your massive post...thats awesome!!!

We walked to school everyday. It had rained about bedtime, but by the time we were up the next morning and was walking to school everything had frozen. So we walked another way to school, knowing that there would be a large area where the water had froze. Well we took turns skating acrossed it. So I had this big idea of backing up a distance took off running, and hollered watch this...well I put on the show alright, I no longer hit the ice, well the next thing I remember was waking up with the neighbor boy (who I had a TERRIBLE crush on) holding my head in his arms and lap, saying "Debbie are you alright?" I was so EMBRASSED.....But later we started dating..so I guess some good did come out of it. Still to this day, he has to rib me about it...and thats been over 30 years ago....

Pick me! Pick me! (Now, fork over that candy!) LOL!

One of my great elementary school memories (and they were FEW beieve me) was in the 5th grade when my teacher had me read the part for a play. She said, "You are a natural. You'll be great" Ever since that day drama and teaching youth have been an important part of who I am and what I'm about! I've been a drama coach for a youth team of "actors" for over 15 years!

I read this a few days ago and was staggered at the flood of memories that hit me! I've now linked to your candy here
and I'll share with you the time I was on a Geography fieldwork and, at bedtime, the other girls and I were talking from the window to some guys who were also staying at the same hostel. Of course, when one of the teachers appeared we jumped in to bed quickly. When the teacher opened the door a few moments later we all made like we'd been asleep and acted innocent. We got away with it as fortunately they didn't make us get out of bed: We were still fully dressed!

Needless to say when I became a geography teacher some years later, I knew every trick in the book!

hi, i have many memories of school, so it is difficult to just pick one. I had a teacher in high school that just made literature class come alive. she made it intersting and fun for just about everyone, and i especially loved when we were studying Hamlet. we acted it out and watched the movie with Mel Gibson as Hamlet, and just had a blast together.

There are a few but I think the one I'll choose is when I won a stack hat (big chunky bike helmet)for a colouring in competition - in about year 3!!! :0

Most memorable school moment...well when I won the contest for the best handwriting in the whole class that was awesome! I think of that each time I go to do journaling on something and feel like using the computer instead of handwriting it.

Well done on reaching the fantastic 2000 mark. Some lovely candy to be had.
Mine is when i was in secondary school about 11 yrs old on a field trip for a geography lesson. My best friend and I wandered off the path and into acres and acres of fields, trudged through the mud in our white socks and trainers, over fences not seeing anyone in sight until we somehow finally reached where the coaches and other pupils were. We were a right sight to see! Cold, wet, muddy, not the prettiest. As you can imagine we didn't have the happiest memories to speak of that trip.

I just came across your blog...great site! Now I'm wracking my brain on my most memorable school experience.
It's hard to come up with just one...I think the sappiest would have to be in crossing the stage at my graduation and having a guy hand me a rose. He told me then that I looked beautiful. I had no idea who he was...then....he became my husband 4 years later and we've been married for 16 years!!
Thanks for the opportunity to win some candy!
Cheers,

My best memory was opening my exam results and finding I had got an A in my Maths O level, (shows my age!), when my teacher had told me I would be lucky to pass!! I so wanted to go back and wave it under her nose.....
Am off to leave a link on my blog as I would love to win the candy.

Ohhhhhhhhh last day to enter this wonderful blog candy... (have linked it to my blog)

Lots of memorable moments both in junior and senior school.. one that makes me squirm even today at the thought of it.. is being all grown up in the 5th year and 'dating' a lad in the 4th year.... I had been to the dentist... (bearing in mind I was very mature and respected by the teachers at school - I got less sensible as the years have gone on ;-) ) On returning to school in the afternoon... I walked into the downstairs foyer and was greeted with the most embarrassing graffiti ever!!

It said... in massive letters.. Kelvin loves Gina 4eva, K&G lovin 4 life, hearts and swirls everywhere in massive big black letters on magnolia walls.... I cringed and went straight to the heads office knowing thats where I would be sent...

Cue - The whole school knew I was dating a 4th year ( we were the only Kelvin and Gina in the school)

Like Emma I also walked in on two teachers snogging... the maths teacher and one of the english teachers... I went on when I left school to work for a while in the maths teachers wifes hair dressers..... his face was a picture every time he came in!!

WOW. how fun!!

Well, school was looooong ago for me but I do remember one time when I was in fith grade my friend asked me a question in English grammar... I had the wrong answer and my teacher made me stand in front the whole class and told them 'here a stupid girl, she will never speak English' (it happened in Israel where I grew up, today I live in Canada and no, I don'g have lots of problems with my English...)

Check out my slide show!!!
